Armor
Gravewarden Mail
Aura faint abjuration; CL 5th
Slot armor; Price 10,350 gp; Weight 40 lbs.
DESCRIPTION
This +1 chainmail is cold to the touch and faintly smells of turned earth. While worn, the armor grants the wearer a +2 bonus on saving throws against death effects, negative energy effects, and energy drain.
In addition, any undead creature striking the wearer with a natural weapon or melee attack takes 1d6 points of positive energy damage.
LORE
Gravewarden Mail originated among militant burial orders tasked with defending mass graves during times of plague and war. These warriors stood vigil not against the living, but against those who would not remain at rest.
The armor was deliberately made uncomfortable, a reminder of the duty it represented. Its chill was said to mirror the stillness of the grave, encouraging vigilance even in exhaustion.
Over time, the design spread beyond its original orders, though many who wear it report vivid dreams of silent fields and watchful nights.

Emberguard Breastplate
Aura moderate evocation; CL 7th
Slot armor; Price 13,200 gp; Weight 30 lbs.
DESCRIPTION
This +1 breastplate is etched with faint, glowing lines resembling cooling lava. It grants the wearer resistance 10 to fire.
Once per day, as an immediate action when struck by a melee attack, the wearer may cause the armor to flare with heat, dealing 2d6 points of fire damage to the attacker (Reflex DC 14 half).
LORE
The Emberguard were elite defenders of volcanic strongholds, trained to fight in suffocating heat and shifting terrain. Their armor was forged in the mouths of active calderas, quenched in ash rather than water.
Legends say the armor retains a memory of that heat, awakening briefly when its bearer is threatened.
Even long after its forging, faint warmth lingers within the metal, as though it has not entirely cooled.
CONSTRUCTION
Requirements Craft Magic Arms and Armor, resist energy, burning hands; Cost 6,600 gp, 528 XP
Mantle of the Shifting Guard
Aura faint illusion; CL 3rd
Slot armor; Price 5,600 gp; Weight 15 lbs.
DESCRIPTION
This +1 leather armor appears slightly blurred at the edges. As a swift action, the wearer may cause their outline to shimmer, granting a +2 dodge bonus to AC for 3 rounds. This ability can be used 3 times per day.
While active, the wearer gains a +2 bonus on Hide checks.
LORE
Favored by scouts and skirmishers, these mantles were created for warriors who relied on movement rather than endurance.
The armor’s shifting appearance was intended not to conceal completely, but to create hesitation in an opponent’s strike.
Those who wear it often describe a strange sensation of being slightly out of sync with their surroundings, as if never fully where they appear to be.

LORE
This armor was forged for defenders tasked with holding positions against overwhelming odds. It was never meant for retreat.
Accounts tell of warriors standing long after they should have fallen, their armor bearing the weight of countless blows.
The Bulwark is less about survival and more about defiance - a refusal to yield even when defeat is certain.

LORE
Crafted by coastal cultures and seafaring orders, this armor was designed for battle beneath the waves as much as above them.
The materials are often sourced from massive sea creatures, giving each suit a slightly different pattern and coloration.
Those who wear the armor for extended periods sometimes report an increasing comfort in water, and a growing unease when far from it.
