DESCRIPTION
This +1 longsword hums faintly when drawn near wounded foes. Against creatures at or below half their maximum hit points, the weapon deals an additional 1d6 points of damage.
Once per day, when striking a living creature at or below 0 hit points, the wielder may choose to stabilize the target automatically instead of dealing damage. If used in this way, the target is also rendered unconscious for 1d4 hours.
LORE
Despite its grim name, Widow’s Mercy was created to end suffering cleanly or to spare it entirely, depending on the wielder’s will.
It was often carried by battlefield attendants who walked among the fallen, making quiet decisions no one else wished to face.
Over time, the blade developed a reputation for “knowing” when death was inevitable - and when it could still be denied.

This +1 shocking spear crackles softly with contained energy. On a successful critical hit, the target must succeed on a DC 15 Fortitude save or be staggered for 1 round as electricity courses through their body.
Once per day, the wielder may hurl a bolt of lightning as a standard action, functioning as lightning bolt (CL 8th, Reflex DC 14 half).
LORE
Stormbite Spears were favored by coastal raiders and sky-worshipping tribes who believed lightning to be a divine weapon.
The spear’s energy is said to build slowly, like a gathering storm, until released in a single violent moment.
Even when idle, the weapon emits a faint scent of ozone, and small sparks sometimes leap between its tip and nearby metal.

This +1 light mace bears a squared, hammer-like head. When used to strike a creature that has cast a spell within the last round, the attack deals an additional 1d6 points of damage.
In addition, any spellcaster struck by the mace must succeed on a DC 14 Concentration check or lose any spell they are currently casting.
LORE
Originally carried by magistrates and inquisitors, these weapons symbolized the finality of judgment.
Rather than silencing magic entirely, they punish those who wield it carelessly or unlawfully.
The name reflects the belief that true authority does not shout - it simply ends debate.

On a successful hit, the wielder may choose to cause thorny vines to briefly erupt from the wound. The target must succeed on a DC 14 Reflex save or have its movement speed reduced by 10 feet for 2 rounds. This effect may be applied up to 5 times per day.
LORE
These bows are grown rather than crafted, shaped slowly over seasons by druids and woodland guardians.
The wood retains a faint vitality, responding to the wielder’s intent and the presence of blood.
Some claim the bow “prefers” certain targets, tightening its string ever so slightly when aimed at those who harm the natural world.

This +1 spiked chain seems unnaturally responsive in the wielder’s hands. The wielder gains a +2 bonus on opposed checks made to trip or disarm opponents.
If the wielder successfully trips an opponent, they may immediately make a free melee attack against that opponent.
Once per day, the wielder may declare a single target as their quarry (a free action). For 5 rounds, they gain a +2 bonus on attack rolls and damage rolls against that target.
LORE
Favored by bounty hunters and relentless trackers, these chains were designed for those who pursue without rest.
The weapon’s balance shifts subtly, always encouraging forward momentum and control over the battlefield.
Those who wield it often develop a singular focus, finding it difficult to abandon a chase once begun.
